The Xbox is a gaming console produced by Microsoft. The 3rd generation (Xbox One / 2013) was initially planned to require constant online connection in order for the user to be able to play any game,[1] in an attempt to regulate the resale market of physical game copies.[2][3]

Microsoft contractors have admitted to listening to users of XBoxes they "said that recordings were sometimes triggered and recorded by mistake".[4]
