Robert W. Scully was a member of the Office of the Chairman of Morgan Stanley from 2007 until his retirement in 2009, during which time he "helped" the US government with handling the 2008 Financial Crisis,[1]. After that, he became a director at the deep state-connected Kohlberg Kravis Roberts[2]. He attended the 2007 Bilderberg meeting.
Career
Scully was a managing director at Lehman Brothers and at Salomon Brothers, before becoming a member of the Office of the Chairman of Morgan Stanley from 2007 until his retirement in 2009.[2]
In 2008 Morgan Stanley's Scully and Ruth Porat led a team "pro bono" to help the U.S. Treasury Department navigate the crisis at mortgage providers Fannie Mae and Freddie Мас. [3] US taxpayers had to rescue the two firms in 2008 in a bailout worth $187bn during the financial crisis. In 2014 Morgan Stanley agreed to pay $1.25bn to settle a lawsuit over the sale of mortgage-backed securities.[4]
Scully retired in 2009, then became a director a director at the deep state-connected Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.[2] He also was director of insurance corporation Chubb Ltd.
Scully was a Public Governor of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and a director of Zoetis Inc., UBS Group AG, Bank of America Corporation, GMAC Financial Services and MSCI Inc.[2]
