Gary Allen wrote in Richard Nixon: The Man Behind The Mask (1971) that "The fact is that the Republican party is now little more than a name. America's two-party system has quietly been replaced by the virtual dictatorship of an "invisible government."

Paedophiles

The GOP often has prominent members vowing to "destroy" the pedohiles, mostly in a polarising perspective regarding the Democratic Party. What they don't address is their failure to keep them out out of their own ranks. A Reddit community has tracked over 46 republicans over a 2 year period convicted for rape of children, including kids as young as 5 year old, filming minors showering to leading sex trafficking rings. Other lists over a longer timespan go up to about 1,500.
