Makerfield is a constituency in Greater Manchester represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. It has been represented by Labour MPs since its creation in 1983, most recently by former Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, who was elected Makerfield's MP in the 2026 Makerfield by-election after Josh Simons' resignation to allow Burnham to run.[1]
