Lisa Eva Nandy is a British politician whom Keir Starmer appointed Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in July 2024. A member of the Labour Party, she has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Wigan constituency since 2010.
As an MP, she was Parliamentary Private Secretary to Tessa Jowell from 2010 to 2012 and Shadow Charities Minister from 2012 to 2015. She was Shadow Energy Secretary from 2015 until she resigned in 2016.
Lisa Nandy came third in the 2020 Labour Party leadership contest,[1] but was appointed Shadow Foreign Secretary by Sir Keir Starmer newly elected Leader of the Labour Party.[2] On 29 November 2021, Lisa Nandy was appointed Shadow Levelling Up Secretary.[3]
