Kevin Harrington was a Managing Director of Thiel Capital LLC who was placed in the National Security Council in 2017, and again in 2025, as senior director for strategic planning, a role that "oversees the big picture aspects of implementing the president's national security agenda."[1] Thiel Capital is owned by Bilderberg steering committee member Peter Thiel of the Paypal mafia.[2]
Education
He graduated with a B.S. in mathematics and physics from the University of Idaho. He was a doctoral candidate in physics at Stanford University, where he was an National Science Foundation Fellow. A Goldwater Scholar, Harrington conducted mathematics research for the Department of Defense.[3]
Career
Harrington worked as managing director at Clarium Capital Management, Thiel's failed hedge fund, for almost a decade.[4]
In 2017, Harrington was placed in the government to do "long-term strategic planning" for the National Security Council.[5][6] He again was given the job in 2025, during the second Trump presidency, a job that "oversees the big picture aspects of implementing the president's national security agenda".[1]
He worked closely with Robert O'Brien when he was as Trump’'s national security adviser from 2019 to 2021.[1]
