Jody McIntyre is a British journalist[1] and politician who stood for election as the Workers Party of Britain candidate in Birmingham Yardley constituency at the UK/General election/2024.[2] He came within 700 votes of overturning Labour's Jess Phillips' 11,000-vote majority in 2019.[3]

Twelve-year plot to remove Maduro
On 5 January 2026, Jody McIntyre posted on X describing how he saw the unfolding of a 12-year plot to "take down" President Maduro.
Living in Caracas
In 2013, when Nicolás Maduro was first elected President of Venezuela, I was living in Caracas.
The signs of what was to come were already there to see.
This is the story of a secret twelve-year plot to “take down” Maduro…
On March 19th 2002, George W. Bush appointed Charles Samuel Shapiro as his Venezuelan Ambassador.
Days later, Shapiro met with a “local organisation” planning to overthrow the government.
On April 11th 2002, Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, was kidnapped and taken to La Orchila Island.
Pedro Carmona Estanga was swiftly installed as “interim President”.
The “Carmona decree” changed the country’s official name, dissolved the National Assembly and Supreme Court, and suspended the Attorney General.
Amongst the signatories of the decree was Maria Corina Machado.
Carmona’s reign lasted for just 36 hours.
Chávez returned to the presidential palace in a dramatic 2:50am helicopter landing.
Over the next years, he rallied against the “murderous” and “cowardly” Israeli state.
He (Carmona) would never be forgiven.
In January 2009, Chávez cut all ties with the Israeli state and expelled its entire embassy staff in Caracas.
In July 2010, he said that Israel were financing the Venezuelan opposition.
“Groups of Israeli terrorists from the Mossad are trying to kill me.”
In 2012, when I arrived in Caracas, Chávez was fighting a heated election campaign against Henriqué Capriles Radonski.
Before the election, Capriles met with the Confederation of Asociaciones Israelitas de Venezuela (CAIV) to discuss the re-establishment of ties with the Israeli state.
The CAIV website stated at the time: “Zionism identifies us, unites us, and it is our responsibility…to strengthen it.”
At the meeting, Capriles reportedly discussed reviewing Venezuelan ties with Iran and combatting the supposed “anti-Semitism” of the Chávez government.
Capriles’ father facilitated the entry of US conglomerate Kraft Foods into Venezuela in the 1950s.
His maternal grandparents, Andrés Radonski and Lili Bochenek, had emigrated to Venezuela in 1947 from Poland.
In 2012, Chávez defeated Capriles by 1.5 million votes.
The next year, Chávez passed away from cancer and was succeeded by Nicolas Maduro.
But in 2019, despite never standing in a presidential election himself, a man named Juan Guaidó swore himself in as “interim president”.
Within days, he was “recognised” by the Trump regime.
The British government followed suit, and Guaidó launched a legal campaign to access $2 billion worth of Venezuelan gold that had been frozen by the Bank of England.
Guaidó paid his legal costs with millions of dollars in Venezuelan assets that the US government had seized.
Guaidó soon announced that “the process of stabilising relations with Israel is at its height.”
One of his “appointments” was Pynchas Brener, the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Caracas, as “official envoy to Israel”, even though the two states still shared no diplomatic relations.
By late 2022, the Venezuelan opposition dumped Guaidó. Instead, María Corina Machado rose to the fore.
In October 2025, Machado called genocidaire Benjamin Netanyahu to express her “warm thanks”, promising a “close relationship between Venezuela and Israel”.
Machado promised that, once in power, she would move Venezuela’s embassy to Jerusalem.
When Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was abducted and flown out of the country this week by US special forces, Machado announced that she was “ready to take over”.
Despite her promises to privatise the Venezuelan oil sector for the benefit of American companies, Donald Trump swiftly dismissed the possibility of Machado “taking over”, claiming that she lacked local support or respect.
Instead, he turned his attention to Paul Singer.
In 2024, Singer’s Elliott Investment Management won a court-mandated auction of Venezuela’s US-based oil refiner CITGO.
Singer is the sixth largest donor to AIPAC and a funder of the Larry Ellison-backed Friends of the IDF “charity” and the Birthright Israel Foundation.
Singer’s winning bid for Venezuela’s oil company was chosen by court-appointed “Special Master” Robert Pincus.
Pincus calls himself as a “proud Zionist” and sits on the Board of Directors of AIPAC. He was previously also on the Jewish National Fund’s Delaware board.
Last year, a newly formed US-based organisation quietly launched the Isaac Accords, presented as a “Latin American version of the Abraham Accords”.
Danny Danon, the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, described the Accords as a way to pull Latin American countries into Israel’s orbit.
The American Friends of the Isaac Accords (AFOIA) was founded in 2025 by the Genesis Prize Foundation.
The Genesis Prize launched in 2012 with a $100m endowment from 5 Russian-Israeli billionaires in partnership with the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
Last year, Colombian President Gustavo Petro blasted Trump and “a clan of paedophiles”’ targeting of Venezuela “to keep Epstein’s list from coming out.”
This week, Trump insinuated that Colombia may be assaulted next.
