Michael K. Winograd is a CIA spook who is known to have been Chief of Station in Thailand during the operation of a black site torture base.
Career
Winograd was the CIA's Bangkok station chief during the torture of the Palestinian citizen Abu Zubaydah at the CIA's 'Cat Eye' black site in Thailand, which began in August 2002, and as of November 9, 2005, when he completed deputy director of operations Jose Rodriguez's order to destroy videotapes of the Agency waterboarding terror suspects. No one was charged for destroying the tapes.[1]
